What is Google Maps?

Google maps is a mapping service developed by Google which includes street maps, satelitte imagery, street view and real time traffic.

It includes an API so that developers can take advantage of the mapping technology within their own websites and applications.

How Pilotbean use Google Maps?

At Pilotbean, we use the Google Maps API to display maps based on a users search. This allows us to display information which directly correlates to the users location.

We used Google Maps on the Which?Local project to highlight on a map businesses which were in a specific distance from the users location.
